Update: Photos
Here are some photos of what I've been up to during last week:
- Above picture was taken just before the school bus arrived one morning
- I'm wearing my new formal clothes while the children wear their school uniform
- The uniforms look very smart
- All the girls have to put their hair in a particular way with a green coloured bow tied in it
- Above picture was taken as the school bus was arriving on 2nd December - Wednesday morning
- The children wear a different coloured uniform to school on every Wednesday and Saturday
- Each child washes their own clothes everyday so they are looking very clean and white
- Above picture was taken after school one day in-front of the school bus
- The school bus parks at the orphanage when it has finished its run
- Back Row: Akash, Prajwal, Shashak, Pramodh, Darshan, Adarsh, Josh
- Front Row: Raju, Harpith, Nikhil, Pintu
- Above picture was taken on 28th November - Saturday afternoon
- We were watching a builder make door frames at the orphanage
- Afterward we went outside and played cricket
- The bat was a coconut tree branch, the stump was a log and the ball was a well used tennis ball
- Above picture was taken on 28th November - Saturday afternoon
- Raju stored up corn in a barn for several weeks to dry out
- A big machine came and all the children loaded it up with the corn. It removed all the husk and spat out the kernels. The kernels were then collected in cloth sacks. There were 37 sacks in total weighting 60kg each. They were then sold to a chicken farmer.
- It was a big job and everyone got involved
Love the pictures Daniel, and the children look so smart in their school uniforms, not to mention the teacher did too!
